The US Open 2025

After a tough start to 2025, things have started looking up for Form Golfer with three recent outright tournament wins bringing us back to parity for the season and only an agonising missed 5-footer from Sam Burns in the Canadian Open last week preventing us from being nicely in profit. With big events coming thick and fast now, we’re confident it won’t be long until the corner has been well-and-truly turned.

The eyes of the golfing world will be on Oakmont Country Club this week as the US Open takes centre stage. Regarded as one of the toughest golf courses in the world, it should pose a traditional US Open test, with long rough awaiting errant shots. When last held here in 2016, only four players finished the week under par and a similar scenario this time around wouldn’t surprise in the least. The course weighs in at almost 7,400 yards and a par of 70, with a mixture of holes ranging from a couple of par 4s that may be driveable for the longest hitters, to the two par 5s which exceed 600 yards and the notorious par 3 eighth hole at an eye-watering 289 yards on the card.
