If you stayed up last Sunday/Monday to watch the US Open you would have been on the edge of your seat. I’m not sure I have seen a course beat so many world class players up. It takes a tremendous amount of mental resilience to do what our pick JJ Spaun (125/1) did. At the beginning of the final round he could have been forgiven if he thought it wasn’t his day. Bogeying 5 out of the first 6 holes he had some terrible luck. Hitting a rake and seeing a perfect pitch shot hit the pin and spin off the green 200 feet. His ability to dig deep will long be remembered as one of the best final rounds in a major for many years. While everyone else faltered he slowly went about his business. The icing on the cake was clearly holing the birdie on 18 to become the only player under par for the week. Well done JJ and thank you from the everyone at Formgolfer and our subscribers. We must not forget John Rahm who posted an early 67 and as everyone fell away finishing a creditable 7th contributing to our success. We finished the week on 136 points profit, 389% positive ROI. we have reversed our early season negative position to 124 points profit and 19% ROI for the season.
