Until this week, Cameron Young held an unenviable distinction: his seven runner-up finishes were the most by any player on Tour without a victory since 1983. The 2022 Rookie of the Year and runner-up at the 150th Open at St. Andrews, Young had long been seen as the elite ball-striker with all the tools—except a win. That narrative is now officially retired.

For Form Golfer, it was a case of “close, but no cigar” this week. Heading into Sunday, we had two contenders in the mix, but with Cameron Young’s commanding performance, our realistic hopes shifted to place finishes.

Amateur standout Jackson Koivun continued his impressive run, securing a T5 and giving our week a solid boost. Unfortunately, our headline pick Ben Griffin missed a crucial four-footer on the 16th—an untimely slip that saw him finish T11, just outside the paying spots.

In the end, we scraped a break-even result when a modest profit had been well within reach.
