Last week, a vast majority including me thought Rory, with the shackles off would kick on and romp Quail Hollow after winning 2 PGA’s and 2 other tournaments there. Our very own nostradatamus said different. The strokes gained data still had Scottie ahead. Given that our whole analytical ethos is about listening to the data we had to continue our time honoured methodology. Our objective was a Scottie win and a long shot to place. This all looked great as Eric Cole at 300-1 was flying until the wheels came off on “The Green Mile”.
