The PGA Tour returns to the Plantation course for the renamed Sentry Tournament. Formally the Sentry Tournament of Champions, this is the season opener and the first signature event of the year with a purse of $20000000.
The field will be very happy to find out that after a freak accident on Christmas Day, World Number 1 Scottie Scheffler is out for 3-4 weeks after cutting his hand on some broken glass. Victor Hovalnd, while still in the field managed to break a toe on a bedstead.
