2025 Season performance review
As the sun sets on the 2025 season, it’s time to reflect as usual on the last 12
months. Without doubt, at times it’s felt like an uphill battle, but in the final analysis it
was another profitable year for our followers – our fourth consecutive year of profit
since we started out back in November 2021.
As ever, many great stories were thrown up, with Rory finally securing the career
Grand Slam at The Masters in dramatic fashion, Scottie Scheffler continuing to do
what Scottie does, Europe’s incredible Ryder Cup win and a bunch of new stars
emerging to make their mark on the game.
The headline numbers for FormGolfer’s predictions were:
- 267 points profit to recommended stakes
- 24% return on stakes invested
- Cumulative profit since inception 1525 points
- 40% return on stakes invested since inception
It was a rollercoaster journey getting there, highlighting that with golf you need the
patience and discipline to ride things out when the cards aren’t quite falling for you.
The first three months of the season were tough, as was the period from August to
October. In between times, however, results were spectacular, with over 400 points
added to the P&L from April to July. Ben Griffin did us a couple of favours with wins
at 25/1 and 50/1, but the undoubted highlight was JJ Spaun’s incredible victory in the
US Open. Despite taking a very respectable world ranking and decent form into the
event, he went off an unconsidered 125/1 shot and put together one of the finest
major back 9s in recent times, capped with a putt on the 72 nd green that will live long
in the memory of those of us who were praying he’d get over the line. Following his
win up with Keegan Bradley at 40/1 the next week was the icing on the cake of a
great summer for our subscribers.
The next three months were largely frustrating, with three second places, two thirds
and three fourths amongst the near misses we had to endure. But the season
finished on a high with Sami Valimaki holding his nerve for a 50/1 win that meant we
ended 2025 in a very healthy place.
We’ll be continuing to deepen and improve our analysis as we head into 2026,
aiming to hit at least a 20% return on our recommendations for the fifth straight
season. Have a great Christmas break – we’ll be returning early in the new year with
more insight, previews and picks.
