After a week off, the tour returns to Mexico for the Worlwide Technology Championship. None of the big guns have decided to take the trip south of the border, which leaves the journeymen golfers the opportunity to place well or win to help secure their playing rights. A win in a (So called) weakened field will give themselves a chance to plan their schedule for the next 18 months or so.
Erik Van Rooyen returns to defend his title and Cameron Young is the highest ranked player at No.32
Preview
The Worldwide Technology Championship returns to El Cardonal at Diamante for the second year. It was previously held at El Cameleon In Mayakoba but LIV golf secured the course for their Mexico tournament leaving the PGA Tour to move.
Stand out prediction for this week is Max Greyserman who is miles clear of the field on The SG (Strokes Gained) front. 16/1 represents tremendous value. Those of you who follow Form Golfer regularly will know that we suggested Max Greyserman for the Wyndham Championship earlier in the year. He led for the majority of the tournament and if it wasn’t for a freaky finish of Eagle, quadruple, Birdie, bogey finish on the last 4 holes he would have added to our tally of winners this season. He ended up finishing second behind FG favourite Aaron (2 gloves) Rai. He also Finished T2 in the Zozo so “Trending” is certainly a good description of his game.
With all that said he is a tremendous golfer and we expect good things this week and in the coming years.
