The Renaissance Club is the host again for the Genesis Scottish Open, Which is a Rolex series event.
Rory McIlroy returns after the heartbreak of the US Open to defend his title from last year. Ordinarily, many of the big names use this tournament as a warm up for the Open next week at Royal Troon but there are some noticeable absences from the field. World No.1 Scottie Scheffler has opted not to travel. Compounding this omission is a fixture clash with the LIV Andalucia Tournament, meaning previous Scottish Open winner John Rahm, Recent LIV winner Tyrell Hatton & current US Open winner Bryson Dechambeau are all unavailable to play.
Preview
Defending Champion Rory is the favourite to retain his title this week closely followed by the “X-man” Xander Schauffele. Whilst it’s very possible either of them could win they don’t represent enough value to us here at FG HQ.
As you know, our methodology is all about value. So whilst a win is a fantasic bonus, it is not the only way to realise a profit. Last weeks + 69% ROI with 2 places (Luke Clanton 40/1 & Andrew Novak 70/1) is yet again testament to this.
This week we have gone for a mixture of Links specialists and Form Horses.
